Having an issue at my Company and not sure how to fix.
We recently upgraded our PC's to windows 7 64-bit. (Note: issue does not happen on windows 732-bit machines that use)
Issue also happens to all the 64-bit machines we use.
When we use iNotes to look at emails and open one with an attachment it will download the IBM Lotus Control, which helps us view the attachments in the email.
It appears to install fine and the DLL files show up in the C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files and it says the add-on is installed. About 1 out of 8 emails we open up with attachments gets an error: "The installation of IBM Lotus Control has been blocked or declined. Do you want to use the IBM Lotus Control on new messages."
If I run IE as Admin, I do not get this issue either. I have also tried a non-work 64-bit PC and it works fine also.
It appears to be an IE setting issue, UAC setting maybe, or maybe a registry issue.
I have tried the following:
- Lowered all the IE settings
- Re-imaged the machine
- un-registered the dll files, delete them, then re-install
- Added it as a trusted site
- Added in compatibility view
- Opened the add-on and clicked to allow on all sites.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
